Review:
Bramayugam is a gripping horror thriller
which glues the audience to their seats. The movie is set in the 17th
century. It is a very bold step taken by the director to entirely shoot the
movie in black and white or monochrome. In his third venture the director
tackles all the obstacles and excels in this horror genre. The movie will slowly
transport us to the historical era and
make sure that we indulged into this masterpiece.
The movie explores the folklores of Kerala and blends the supernatural elements perfectly. Mammootty , Arjun ashokan and siddharth bharathan play their roles brilliantly which makes the screenplay of the movie tightly. The stunning cinematography is done by Shehnad Jalal who creates an horrifying atmosphere in the movie. The music composed by Christo Xavier is like icing on the cake which complements the movie very well.
The movie also explores the themes of oppression, caste system and the quest for power among humans . Anyone who is a fan of ‘Tumbbad’ should watch it.
Overall ‘Bramayugam’ leaves a lasting impression on the audience and it will be one of the masterpiece in the Malayalam industry.
