  India and EU have signed the Free trade agreement in Delhi on January 27 after 20 years of negotiations.  After nearly two decades of stalled negotiations, it brings together two billion people in a trade arrangement covering roughly a quarter of global GDP. Tariffs will fall on everything from German luxury cars to Indian textiles. This is not simply a trade deal. It is an act of geopolitical statecraft; one that reveals how major democratic economies are adapting to a more fractured and volatile global order.
